Samantha Skott earns rookie of the week for the Skidmore College Field Hockey Team. Skott recorded her first two collegiate goals this past week, scoring in back-to-back wins over Oneonta and RPI.

Skott (Class of 2011) Earns Rookie of the Week
5-Hour Pre-licensing Course
The NYS 5-hour pre-licensing course, needed to obtain a NYS driver’s license, will be held on the following dates:
- Sept. 8
- Oct. 6
- Nov. 3
- Dec.1
- Feb. 2
- Mar. 1
- Apr. 5
- May 3
- June 6
Registration begins at 4:30 pm in the HS office, with class following promptly at 5pm. $35 cash or check and a valid learner’s permit is required. Call Terri Burdick, registrar, 686-9492 x 1034, if needed.
Hoosick Falls offense rolls behind Williams, Burns

Hoosick Falls’ dynamic backfield, which was instrumental in leading the Panthers to a Section II championship a year ago, themselves starting this season where they left off 2010.

Hoosick Falls rolls past Corinth 54-13

The Hoosick Falls football team knelt in front of its head coach in the aftermath of its 54-13 trouncing of Corinth Friday night.
The first words out of Ron Jones’ mouth were simple, and words his Panthers have heard on a daily basis, “Did we get better?”

Panther golfers earn win over Stillwater
Bennington Banner: Posted: Wednesday August 31, 2011 HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. — The Hoosick Falls Central School golf team earned another win with a 4-1 effort over Stillwater on Wednesday. The Panthers won on the strength of Todd Rogers’ 41, the medalist score on the day. Hoosick Falls will face Hoosic Valley today at Hoosick Falls Country Club.
