Dear Parents and Guardians:
School Safety is our primary responsibility for students, faculty, and staff at Hoosick Falls Central School. Our school environment has well-defined safety procedures and systems which are regularly practiced and periodically reviewed.
Today, February 15, we are holding a pre-planned meeting with all faculty to discuss these safety procedures, which we updated earlier this year. Our Safety Officer from the Questar III BOCES and our county and local police also will be present at the meeting to review our safety protocols.
In addition, we will be discussing adding a School Resource Officer from the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department to our staff next year. The addition of a uniformed police officer in our school is a safety measure that would have tremendous value at many levels.
