Each year students from around New York State travel to the capitol building in Albany and have the opportunity to meet with lawmakers.
This year, Hoosick Falls Jr. / Sr. High School sent a contingent of students, accompanied by AP American History teacher Ms. Barton and AP Earth Science teacher Ms. Mabey.
AP students participate in the day as an opportunity to share their success stories with legislators, meet with policymakers, and learn firsthand how laws are created.
The Hoosick Falls students met with Senator Rich Funk and a staffer from Senator Kathleen Machione’s office. The group also paid an unscheduled visit to Assemblyman Steven McLaughlin’s office.
