Christine Zakrzewski is the grade 5 science teacher. She has been with the district for 13 years. Mrs Zak’s science classes are inquiry based with hands on activities, group work and labs to instruct the science content in her curriculum. She utilizes video clips and interactive smartboard activities in her daily lessons.
Christine received a BS from SUNY Oswego in Elementary Education (N-6) in 1988, and an MS from SUNY Plattsburgh in Literacy in 2000. She has taken several additional classes to enrich her science teaching techniques, including CESAME, a math and science week long seminar at SUNY Stony Brook in 2012.
Mrs Zak enjoys being outside in warm weather. She likes to travel with her husband, and visit with her two grown sons. She spends a lot of her time with friends and family.
