Holly Cary is currently serving her seventeenth year as as a social studies teacher for the Hoosick Falls Central School District. Currently, Ms. Cary is teaching Global I and AIS. She began her educational career as a substitute teacher prior to working full time for Hoosick Falls Central School. During her fifteen years at HFCS, Holly has served many roles as class advisor, club advisor, tutor, chaperone of student events, and department coordinator. Holly has chaperoned student trips to NYC, local field trips, and even abroad to Italy.
Ms. Cary’s educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education for Social Studies from SUNY Plattsburgh. Holly continued her studies at SUNY Plattsburgh to earn a Master’s Degree in Reading Education. While studying at SUNY Plattsburgh, Holly enjoyed studying abroad in the African countries of Morocco and Tunisia.
Professionally, Holly is also a member of the New York State Council for the Social Studies. She has volunteered in some area non-profit groups, such as the Hoosick Falls Soccer Club and the Town of Hoosick Youth Baseball.
Holly has many interests and hobbies. Holly enjoys reading, running, playing with her kids, traveling and camping.
She lives in Hoosick Falls, New York with her two children, Garrett and Addison, and their family dog, Max.
