James Lynch attended Hoosick Falls for his high school years before graduating in 2011 and moving on to Siena College in Loudonville, NY. Prior to attending Hoosick Falls he attended St. Mary’s Academy for grades K-8. He is thrilled to be teaching and to continue being involved in his home community.
During his four years at Siena College, Mr. Lynch studied chemistry and education earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education. He was involved in multiple research projects within the chemistry department including a one concerning defensive chemicals produced by insects. During his time at school Mr. Lynch also completed an Americorps service term while doing his student teaching.
Mr. Lynch currently lives in Troy with his girlfriend while he completes his Masters Degree through SUNY Albany. His father Jim works at a Lydall Performance Materials, a manufacturing plant in town and his mother Julie works at the school in the special education department. His younger brother Justin shares his interest in the sciences and is currently studying towards a doctorate degree at SUNY College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany.
Mr. Lynch enjoys the warmer weather of the summer, having worked as a lifeguard at Babcock Lake for 8 years in his youth. In addition to his interest in bowling Mr. Lynch also loves to golf, read, and watch his beloved New York Yankees and St. Louis Rams. He is currently the head coach of both the Varsity Bowling and Golf teams.
