Jessica Etien has been a school psychologist at Hoosick Falls Central School since 2005. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Mrs. Etien then moved to Oxford, OH and received a Master’s Degree in School Psychology in 2002 from Miami University. Upon completion of the program, she moved to Albany, NY and completed the Certificate of Advanced Study Program in School Psychology at The College of St. Rose in 2004.
As the school psychologist, Mrs. Etien is responsible for completing all psychoeducational assessments to determine if students qualify for special education services. She is also the chair of both Response to Intervention Teams and a co-advisor of the Friends with Character Club.
In her free time, Mrs. Etien enjoys spending time with her husband, Bob, and her cat, Desmond. They love to travel and some of their favorite vacation spots have included Hawaii, Aruba, Curacao, Ottawa and Quebec City! Mrs. Etien lives in Schenectady, NY and enjoys eating out in many of the city’s up-and-coming restaurants. She also greatly values spending time with family and friends, loves practicing yoga and playing volleyball.
