John Jennings began his teaching career at Cambridge Central School District, after retiring from the U.S. Army after twenty years of active duty. While a drill sargeant in the military, John became attracted to the educational field and teaching. While at Cambridge he taught several Business courses including Accounting, Career and Financial Management and Business Law. He also was a part time member of the social studies department, teaching AP United States Government and Politics. Most recently, before accepting a position with Hoosick Falls CSD, John was the Instructor of Incarcerated Youth at the Washington County Jail.
Mr. Jennings obtained his undergraduate degree in History with a minor in Business Administration from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC while on active duty. John also attained a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the College of St. Joseph’s.
John is a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 7291 and the American Legion Liberty Post 515. He has served in numerous capacities of his Legion Post and helps support all causes of the Post.
An avid golfer, John is a member of Windy Hills Golf Course. A sport enthusiast, he also enjoys football, basketball, and baseball.
John lives in Greenwich, New York and has four sons.
