Lisa Ferrannini brought 15 years of experience of teaching Physical Education to Hoosick Falls Central School in 2008. Ms. Ferrannini instills the notion of lifetime health and fitness into her students.

Ms. Ferrannini’s educational background includes a B.S. in Physical Education K-12, with a minor in Psychology from Russell Sage College and a M.S. in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from the University of Albany.

After school Ms. Ferrannini coaches modified field hockey and heads the varsity lacrosse program, which she instituted at HFCS in 2010. During the winter months she uses her personal training certification to help students interested in becoming healthier using the HFCS state of the art Fitness Center.

Outside of school she loves outdoor activities such as; camping, fishing, kayaking, bicycling, and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle.  During the summers Ms. Ferrannini can be found driving large construction trucks for Rifenburg Construction helping them to build roads & bridges all over the state of New York.

Ms. Ferrannini is very active in the Hoosick Falls community, assisting many non-for- profit organizations.  She is co-founder of the Karen McGovern Fund which raises over $10,000 a year, given out to Hoosick Fall’s area residents with life threatening illnesses.

Ms. Ferrannini was married in 2006 and has one daughter, Sara. Lisa currently has 2 dogs, Toby and Daisy and a cat – Isabel.
