Melissa Gardner is in her 21st year of teaching at Hoosick Falls Central School. Throughout her career, she has taught first through fourth grades. She has been happily settled in second grade for the past several years. Melissa operates a co-teaching classroom, teaching children with special needs as well as those in the regular education track.
Mrs. Gardner’s educational background began right here at Hoosick Falls Central School. She attended HFCS from kindergarten to 12th grade. She attended State University of New York at Oswego for her undergraduate work and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Her master’s degree was obtained at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
Melissa is involved in many local organizations, including the Tuesday Women’s Bowling league and the Pittstown United Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years. Currently, Melissa is the class advisor for the Class of 2017. She is also the grade level coordinator for the second grade.
Melissa’s greatest interest is traveling with her family. She loves to go on vacations, and has visited many places. Her favorite place is Disney World! She also enjoys watching her daughters play soccer and field hockey.
Melissa lives in Hoosick Falls, with her husband, Jeff and two daughters, Katy and Emily. She has a dog and two cats.
