Mr. Jones has been at HFCS for over twenty years. HFCS. Prior to teaching Physical Education, Ron coached college football for 6 years and was a personal trainer/speed coach for 1 year.
He earned a B.S. Ed from SUNY Cortland in Physical Education and a M.Ed. from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science.
Mr. Jones is a member of the Coach Baker Fund, which annually provides one student from Hoosick Falls Central and one student from Cambridge Central School a $2000 scholarship. He is also a Coach Softball Coach for the Town of Hoosick Youth Baseball and Softball League and he has volunteered the Stephen Colvin 5K Road Race.
In the Summer Mr. Jones and his family travel to Japan to visit his Wife’s relatives. While there he enjoys sightseeing and learning the Japanese Culture. It has been his pleasure to be a Volunteer Consultant for the Kanazawa University American Football Club for more than five years.
Ron’s favorite hobby is Coaching the Hoosick Falls Panthers Football program. It is a year round passion for him to use the tool of Football to help teach Courage, Class, Confidence and Composure.
Mr. Jones is very proud to have grown up in Hoosick Falls and feels honored to live and teach in his hometown. He resides with his wife Ikuko and his daughter Kai.
