Mr. Bundrick's high school construction class recently had a fun and practical project. The students made a ukulele stand for Ms. Murphy's elementary school music room. The elementary students were so impressed that they made thank-you cards for Mr. Bundrick and his students, to show their appreciation. The stand came out great! 🔨It is so nice to see these students bringing ideas to life, and inspiring our younger students!🎸
A few updates from our friends in fourth grade: Students in Mrs. Brownell & Mrs. Wells’ fourth-grade class used their recess time to tidy up and organize the Lost and Found this week. If you recognize any of these items, please have your child visit the Lost and Found! Mrs. Brownell and Mrs. Wells also made the official New York State Apple Muffins with their social studies students. This was a tasty way to experience teamwork and learn about New York State Symbols. Students in Ms. Donohue's class recently had a fun chemical change experiment. We love seeing the students getting creative in the classroom. Thanks for sharing, Mrs. Brownell, Mrs. Wells, and Ms. Donohue!!

Reminder! The elementary school students and staff will be working together to raise money to donate to our local food pantry, Hoosick Area Church Association (HACA)! On Thursday, November 13th, students and staff are encouraged to wear a hat in school for a suggested donation of $1. All money collected will be donated to HACA on behalf of our elementary staff and students to help them purchase food to keep their shelves stocked this holiday season!

Fall Update from the HFCS PTA!
The PTA has wrapped up our Fall Fundraiser! Thank you everyone (staff and families included), who helped make this a successful fundraiser! We also wanted to inform everyone that we are getting a name change! We will be changing from a PTA (Parent Teacher Association) to PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association). Katy Howard is currently our first student representative and is excited to grow more student participation within our school.

School Bus Safety Reminder: Daylight Saving Time means it’s darker when our buses are on the road in the community! Slow down and watch for flashing lights on school buses. Stop for school buses when their stop signs are out. Look for students walking. Let’s keep our students safe!

Our staff and students always have fun with their Halloween costumes at school! To see more pictures, head on over to our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HoosickFallsCentral

Here are the November lunch menus!🍎

Spirit Week in the high school ended with a hallway contest between grade levels. Mrs. Victor, Mrs. Fleming, and Mr. Ellis had a great time judging the contest. Although each class put in a lot of effort, the seniors took the win and will receive a pizza party for their grade. The results were: 1st- Seniors, 2nd- Freshmen, 3rd- Juniors, and 4th- Sophomores. Great job being creative and showing your school spirit!💙🤍🐾
Please consider these important Halloween safety tips from our School Resource Officer, Deputy Garhartt. 🎃

Please enjoy these pictures from our Spirit Week's face-painting day! Our elementary students always have fun when the high schoolers come and visit them.💙🤍🐾 See more pictures on our Facebook page!

Yesterday, ~75 high school students attended the Hoosick Falls Community Career & Trade Expo, with 5 other local schools. There were over 40 booths to explore, with local businesses, careers, trades, and apprenticeship programs, and even the Teamsters Local 294 truck simulator. Special thanks to the team who helped organize this event, and our teachers and counselors who brought our students to this event so they could make connections!
