Fall Update from the HFCS PTA!

The PTA has wrapped up our Fall Fundraiser! Thank you everyone (staff and families included), who helped make this a successful fundraiser! We hold fundraisers throughout the year, in order to help fund, support, and plan outings, field trips, free community events, senior scholarships, and more! By supporting our programs, events, and fundraisers, you are directly supporting our HFCS students.

We also wanted to inform everyone that we are getting a name change! We will be changing from a PTA (Parent Teacher Association) to PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association). Katy Howard is currently our first student representative and is excited to grow more student participation within our school.

Winterfest is fast approaching. See the attached flyer and save the date (December 13th). There will be many free family-friendly activities to participate in. Although each class put in a lot of effort, the seniors took the win and will receive a pizza party for their grade. The results were: 1st- Seniors, 2nd- Freshmen, 3rd- Juniors, and 4th- Sophomores. Yesterday, ~75 high school students attended the Hoosick Falls Community Career & Trade Expo, with 5 other local schools. There were over 40 booths to explore, with local businesses, careers, trades, and apprenticeship programs, and even the Teamsters Local 294 truck simulator. Special thanks to the team who helped organize this event, and our teachers and counselors who brought our students to this event so they could make connections! And they are...Payton Dailey and Nolan Stockman! 🎉Nolan and Payton are an excellent example of a Unified pair. They participate in all their school's Unified sports offerings, but that's not all—they also actively engage with their Youth Activation Committee.
