This past Monday, HFCS held three Veterans Day assemblies, one for each school. Thank you to all of our teachers and staff, students, guest speakers, and Veterans who joined us for the day. Special thanks to General Caine, Mr. Peabody, Mr. Sutton, and teachers Mr. Farley, Mr. Weeden, Ms. Murphy, Mrs. Brownell, and Mrs. Wells. Our staff Veterans are: Mr. Fleming - U.S. Marines, Mr. Jennings - U.S. Army, Mr. Farley - U.S. Army Reserves, N.Y. Army National Guard, Mr. Lawrence - U.S. Army, Mr. Matatt - Army National Guard, Mr. Steller - U.S. Air Force, and Mrs. Carknard-Army Reserves. We were joined by several Veterans and friends of the military from our community: Bud Bentley, Carl Brownell, Chuck Krawczyk, Dan Moon, Debbie Myers, Jared Amuso with his dog Athena, Joe Dworakowski, Martha Babbitt, Kathy Betts, Kevin Morgan, Kevin Kasle, Pastor Hector, Ramon Laconico, Puri Laconica, Rick Taber, Sandra Cimorelli, Sherman Hoffman, Paul Prebble, John Jennings, and Thomas Peabody.
