Seniors in Mrs. Coll’s Political and Economic Systems class had a fun project before the holiday break, Cupcake Wars! Students had to work in groups and conduct market research using surveys to develop original cupcake recipes. They had to do their best to calculate supply and demand to determine how they might make the most profit from selling their cupcakes in the high school. Cupcake sales were recorded, and the group raised $1,565, which will be split between graduation expenses for the Class of 2026 and next year’s HFCS Christmas Wish program. The vote for the best-tasting cupcakes went to the team of Livia Doyle, Bella Marpe, and Emma Waugh. The largest profit was made by the team of Neal Turner, Shane Hatlee, and Wayne Morris. Great job to all the students and kudos to Mrs. Coll for a fun and tasty educational activity!
