High School Business Teacher, Ms. Hamilton, has some news to share from her Personal Finance classes! On Tuesday, Feb. 3rd and Wednesday, Feb. 4th, Morgan Keith, Branch Operations/Community Relations Specialist from TCT Federal Credit Union, came to HFCS to present to the Personal Finance classes. Some of the topics covered included: Banks vs Credit Unions, financial services offered, building credit, and avoiding fraud. Students were provided with presentations, handouts, and some swag! It's always great to have community partners come for a visit!

Eighth-grade Math Teacher, Mr. Weeden, has some exciting news to share! Seven middle school students, Cruz LaBrie, Emmitt Willbrant, Riley Scott, Brennon Maddex, Russell Stifter, Grant Glover, and James Friel, recently earned 2026 Six Flags Season Passes!! These students earned their passes by getting a 4 on the 8th-grade state exam or by being the 'Most Improved' from 7th grade to 8th grade on the NYS exam! This “Bookraiser” is part of the first-grade community service project and helps support a foundation called Project: Cameron's Story. The Rensselaer County Ambulance and Rescue Association has an🚑 EMT Class Alert! (Initial + Re-Cert) 🚑 They are planning an EMT Initial course and an EMT Re-Cert course. NO SCHOOL Monday, 1/26. The Hoosick Falls CSD campus will be closed Sunday, 1/25 & Monday, 1/26. All events are cancelled on Sunday and Monday morning and afternoon. Information on events for Monday evening will be released by Monday morning. School is closed and will not be in session on Monday, 1/26.

Middle School Reminder! Early Dismissal for Parent-Teacher Conferences: The Middle School (grades 5-8) will dismiss early at 10:35 AM on Thursday, January 22nd and Friday, January 23rd for parent-teacher conferences. Grab-and-go lunches will be available for all students.

DuPont Class Settlement: A presentation on the DuPont Class Settlement will take place in the auditorium at Hoosick Falls High School at 7 pm on Wednesday, January 21st. The presentation will explain the Settlement and the process for filing claims. A Workshop will take place the following day, Thursday, January 22nd, from 9 am - 4 pm at the Hoosick Armory, for anyone needing help completing forms.
