The Rensselaer County Ambulance and Rescue Association has an🚑 EMT Class Alert! (Initial + Re-Cert) 🚑 They are planning an EMT Initial course and an EMT Re-Cert course. Come join our HFCSD team as a Substitute Bus Driver! $27.12/hr to start. Training is provided, and you can start training immediately. You do not need your Class B CDL to start training. NO SCHOOL Monday, 1/26. The Hoosick Falls CSD campus will be closed Sunday, 1/25 & Monday, 1/26. All events are cancelled on Sunday and Monday morning and afternoon. Information on events for Monday evening will be released by Monday morning. School is closed and will not be in session on Monday, 1/26.

Middle School Reminder! Early Dismissal for Parent-Teacher Conferences:
The Middle School (grades 5-8) will dismiss early at 10:35 AM on Thursday, January 22nd and Friday, January 23rd for parent-teacher conferences. Grab-and-go lunches will be available for all students.

DuPont Class Settlement: A presentation on the DuPont Class Settlement will take place in the auditorium at Hoosick Falls High School at 7 pm on Wednesday, January 21st. The presentation will explain the Settlement and the process for filing claims. A Workshop will take place the following day, Thursday, January 22nd, from 9 am - 4 pm at the Hoosick Armory, for anyone needing help completing forms. December’s "Mathematician of the Month" awards, for Mrs. Nelson’s high school classes, celebrated the Most Improved students. Each recipient showed outstanding hard work, determination, and perseverance, making meaningful improvements in their grades and/or classroom behavior. Congratulations to our Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor, Ms. Kaylah Gulley, who was awarded a $5,000 grant from Corteva Agriscience to bring pH and temperature sensors into the classroom!!

Two of our 6th graders, Zoe Nash and Abbigail Waytkus, have an important message to share from the Be The Change Club! For the month of January, the Middle School’s Be The Change Club is hosting a "Cozy Collection" drive. Students will be collecting new hats, socks, and gloves/mittens to be donated locally, within the school, and to the community. This is also part of a House Challenge, where each item (in a bundle or separately) will earn 25 points. All items must be new and still have tags on to earn points. Items will be collected 1/12 - 1/30 and can be dropped off in House Bins. Thank you for the continued support! Reminder! The HFCSD Board of Education will hold a Regular Meeting this Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 6 - 8 pm in the High School Cafeteria.

The PTSA is pleased to offer our second free Family Movie Night of the school year! The votes are in, and the movie that was chosen was Toy Story! We are also offering Animaland. Dinner and concessions will be available for purchase again, and you are invited to get comfy and bring a blanket or chair and settle in for the movie. Admission is free! More details are below and on the flyer. See you there!

Animaland: 4 - 6 pm: Doors open at 4 pm for Animaland. Enjoy the fun of choosing & stuffing your own animal! Choose from a variety of 20 different animals (styles will vary). Animals come with a Wishing Heart and Birth Certificate and will cost $17. Add an outfit for an additional $13. (Cash, Credit, & Checks Accepted for Animaland.)
Dinner: 5:30 pm on: Let us cook for you! PTSA-sponsored dinner with pizza, crock pot dishes, popcorn, drinks, snacks, and sweets will be available for cash purchase starting at 5:30 pm.
Movie: 6 - 7:30 pm: The movie will start at 6 pm. Get your comfy clothes or pajamas on, bring a blanket or a chair, and let’s watch a free movie together!
You do not need to participate in Animaland to have dinner and/or watch the movie. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Every year around the holidays, Mrs. Philpotts-Breese and Mrs. Sutton's students chose a painting to reproduce. This year, they chose the "Northern Lights” painting. They persevered, and their finished products were stunning!!
