Reminder! Picture retake day is 11/20 for all grade levels. Instructions to participate in Absentee/Retake Day:
1. Mark your calendar!
2. (Elementary students.) We recommend letting your students' teacher know that you wish to have a picture done so that they are sent to the photographer.
3. Absentees and New Students/Staff should plan to be photographed on this day so they may be included on the class photos and/or the yearbook. (No purchase necessary.)
4. In order to submit a new online order, families will need to wait for the updated proof sheet and submit an order using their student's personalized online code. Online orders will be mailed directly to the home address rather than to the school.
5. Retakes: It does not cost to have a retake. If you or your student are not happy with the original picture, please have a new photo taken. It is helpful to the photographer to add a note to the returned pictures explaining what you would like to have changed with their picture.
6. The student does need to return the complete Picture Package in the envelope to the photographer on Retake Day. We cannot exchange your order with the Retake picture until the Picture Package envelope and its contents have been returned but we can still take a new photo if that information is not provided on picture day.
If there are questions, please contact our customer service department at 855-773-3321 (M-F, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm).

Middle school students in Mrs. Zak's Agriculture Exploration class and Mrs. Sutton's Life Skills class recently had a "pumpkin party"!!!🎃 This was a multiple-day activity, where students had hands-on fun comparing the exterior, interior, and taste of four different pumpkin varieties. Students got right to work counting seeds and making observations!! See more pictures on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HoosickFallsCentral/
Mr. Cabana's AP Psychology students got hands-on with neuroscience at the end of October! With the help of former 8th-grade science teacher and current librarian, Mrs. Antolick, students dissected sheep brains to explore the complex anatomy of the brain, identifying external and internal structures, understanding the relationship between structure and function, and discovering the similarities between sheep and human brains. This engaging lab experience brought their classroom learning to life! 🧠

Last week, 24 National Junior Honor Society students and Mrs. Mabey went to our local food pantry, Hoosick Area Church Association (HACA). The students moved ~5,000 lbs of food from HACA to the Town's Reynolds-Gilchrest Skating Rink, to be sorted and placed into ~180 Thanksgiving distribution boxes for the community. 💙🤍

Mr. Bundrick's high school construction class recently had a fun and practical project. The students made a ukulele stand for Ms. Murphy's elementary school music room. The elementary students were so impressed that they made thank-you cards for Mr. Bundrick and his students, to show their appreciation. The stand came out great! 🔨It is so nice to see these students bringing ideas to life, and inspiring our younger students!🎸
A few updates from our friends in fourth grade: Students in Mrs. Brownell & Mrs. Wells’ fourth-grade class used their recess time to tidy up and organize the Lost and Found this week. If you recognize any of these items, please have your child visit the Lost and Found! Mrs. Brownell and Mrs. Wells also made the official New York State Apple Muffins with their social studies students. This was a tasty way to experience teamwork and learn about New York State Symbols. Students in Ms. Donohue's class recently had a fun chemical change experiment. We love seeing the students getting creative in the classroom. Thanks for sharing, Mrs. Brownell, Mrs. Wells, and Ms. Donohue!!

Reminder! The elementary school students and staff will be working together to raise money to donate to our local food pantry, Hoosick Area Church Association (HACA)!
