The Toy Drive that the Hoosick Falls Kiwanis and the HFCS Key Club organize for the holidays is still collecting donations until 12/12. Please see the flyer for more details on how you can help make the holiday season special for a family in our community. (*Note* The HFCSD will not request Venmo payments for this program and is not affiliated with other toy drives in Hoosick Falls. Please look for the little trees with mittens around town, detailed on the flyer.) Questions may be directed to Nicole Martin: martinn@hoosickfallscsd.org
The Key Club would also like to send a big thank you to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office for donating the money raised from the Sheriff's vs. HFCSD Staff Basketball Game to this Toy Drive! 💙🤍

Dear Middle School Families,
There will be a Zoom meeting on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 7 pm, to learn how to create a parent/guardian account in the new OTUS system. Having your own OTUS account will allow you to access your child's standards-based grades, progress reports, and other important academic information throughout the school year.
You are invited to join the Zoom meeting where we will walk you through the steps to create your parent/guardian account, and we will answer any questions you may have about navigating the OTUS system and understanding standards-based grading. Here is the Zoom link: https://www.google.com/url?q=https://otus.zoom.us/j/87059069283?pwd%3DjYb77dDb7Hn3qzCNrFytw5rWE9KJKf.1&sa=D&source=calendar&ust=1764523952394716&usg=AOvVaw1ke2iRnW9yi1TJVbe3a5PY
Please refer to the sheet you will receive in the mail, for instructions on how to create a parent/guardian account, as well as the Student Code you will need to complete this process. We hope you can join us as we continue to improve communication about your child's academic progress. If you have any questions before the meeting, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sarah Fleming, Middle School Principal, and Mr. Nathan Ellis, 5-8 Assistant Principal

The PTA will be hosting our Winterfest! event again this year, on 12/13 from 1-4 pm. We have a lot of fun family-friendly activities planned, including free pictures with Santa with Vanessa Lewis, a local vendor market, bingo, karaoke, and more! We are looking for a little help from our PTA Members and school community for a few of our other activities:
We will be having a Cake Walk again. Ann-Marie Glover is helping organize this activity. If you can donate baked goods for this, please reach out to Ann-Marie.
We will also have a Basket Raffle table. If you or your class would like to donate a family-friendly basket, please reach out to Kim Brownell.
New this year, we are holding a Crock Pot "Crock-Off". If you would like to make a Crock Pot of your best dish, we will be judging entries, selling bowls/cups at the event, and crowning a "Crock-Off" champion! Please reach out to Crystal Thomson.
Please see the flyer below for more details, as well as the main Winterfest! flyer for general information about the event. If you would like to volunteer for the event, please reach out to Kim Brownell. If you would like to be a vendor, please complete the form!
Thank you for helping make this a successful, fun, FREE family event for our community!
Best,
The HFCS PTA Executive Committee
Amber Breese, President
Tabatha Reed & Marissa Harris, Vice Presidents
Sarah Livingstone, Secretary
Kevin Weeden, Treasurer
